Conversion of Nyamplung Oil into Green Diesel through Catalytic Deoxygenation using NiAg/ZH Catalyst

Nyamplung oil (Calophyllum inophyllum L) can be converted into green diesel by the catalytic deoxygenation method. Bimetallic catalyst NiAg supported hierarchical natural zeolite (NiAg/ZH) used in this This study aims to determine characteristics of NiAg/ZH and optimal conditions for nyamplung diesel. The was synthesized wet impregnation with a total metal concentration 10% mass ratio Ni/Ag 4. X-Ray Diffraction, Surface Area Analyzer NH3-TPD characterized catalyst. Catalytic carried out varying temperature (325, 350 375 °C) reaction time (1, 2 3 hours) dosage 5%. composition product analyzed using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy. XRD spectrum showed peak at 2θ = 22.38° (clinoptilolite zeolite), 44.42° (Ni) 38.21° (Ag). surface area is 46.7024 m2/g, pore volume 0.0813 cc/g, average diameter 6.9632 nm, deposit 1.6882 mmol/g. optimum obtained °C hours gasoline selectivity 3.51%, kerosene 4.73%, 62.02%
